What to do
Canyoneering and the falls at Kawasan, diving and turtles at Moalboal, the sardine run, and whale sharks at Oslob. Bohol is a short ferry away for the Chocolate Hills, tarsiers and the beaches of Panglao. Malapascua, off the northern tip, is known for thresher sharks.
Cebu with Bohol
The ferry from Cebu City to Tagbilaran takes around two hours and makes a combined trip straightforward. A common shape is a few nights in Cebu for the falls and diving, then Panglao in Bohol to finish on the beach.

Cebu is served by international connections as well as domestic flights from Manila, so it can often be reached with one stop plus a short domestic leg. That makes it a good choice if you want less internal travel than a Palawan trip.
